Introduction

The Directorate of Training & Employment, Uttar Pradesh (DTE-UP) is working under the Department of Labour & Employment as well as Department of Vocational Education & Skill Development, Government of Uttar Pradesh. The Directorate of Training & Employment, Uttar Pradesh consist of two services and these are:

  • Industrial Training Service
  • Employment Service
Training Services is being imparted through a network of 304 Government Industrial Training Institutes and more than 2963 Private Industrial Training Institutes spread over the 75 Districts in the State. The Employment Service is rendered through the 11 District Employment Exchanges and 2 Sub-Divisional Employment Exchanges in the State.

  • Vocational Training is concerned with imparting and acquisition of skills, knowledge and attitude.
  • It includes pre-service Training, apprenticeship Training and in-service Training.
  • It also includes upgradation of skills.
